Which is the right mixing tool?
--- Wire whips are for whipping and mixing pourable liquids, soft liquids, and LIGHT cake batters.
--- "COOKIE PADDLES" are for all but the stiffest cookie dough (NOT for cookies with raisins, nuts, oatmeal, etc.)
--- The Dough Hook is for all stiff stirring such as bread dough, and including cookies with raisins, nuts, oatmeal, etc.

Cookie Paddles must only be used with an all-metal "whisk drive".
Note: The "whisk-drive" for the new Universal PLUS mixer is not all-metal.
